H.E. Vahagn Afyan, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia, within the framework of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “One Tree in the Name of Mothers 2025” initiative, took part in a tree-planting event organised by the authorities of New Delhi, where he also had a conversation with India’s Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Bhupender Yadav.
Ambassador Afyan, referring to the next year’s 17th Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity, to be held in Armenia, emphasized the high-level commitment undertaken by the Armenian side and highlighted the importance of India’s active role and proper engagement in the lead-up to COP17.
